Support the Unicorn Theatre

YOUR DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE

For over 70 years the Unicorn has been creating great theatre for young audiences locally and nationally. We advocate fearlessly for young people to experience world-class culture at affordable prices, because theatre should never be a luxury, but a right for every young person.

All our productions are made for children and with children, to ensure young people have a voice in the work we create for our stages. We also work with local schools to embed creativity into the curriculum, and our impact on young lives can be seen each and every day.

As a charity we can only do the work we do because of our incredible community of supporters. To support us please donate below, and if you'd like to find out more, get in touch with us at development@unicorntheatre.com

  • £100 could give an entire class creative materials for a drama workshop with our team
  • £80 could provide free Unicorn show tickets for a family who wouldn't be able to attend otherwise
  • £40 could support one child to attend an interactive technical theatre workshop
  • £20 could enable an hour with a drama therapist on a creative wellbeing project or support two sustainable, second-hand props for a show

Our Impact

As a charity, we rely on support like yours to:

  • Create innovative and joyful theatre for children aged 0–13 years, for many of whom it represents a first theatre trip.
  • Engage 1000+ young Londoners and 4 Partner Schools from Southwark and Tower Hamlets aged 6 months–13 years each year in theatre-making processes through our Creative Hub.
  • Work with 90 artists annually in the specialist field of making theatre for children.
  • Subsidise around 30% of all tickets and 60% of schools' tickets, keeping ticket prices as low as £10.
  • Provide access performances each season, including Sensory Adapted, Audio-Described, BSL and Captioned.
  • Ensure 89% of in-house productions meet Baseline Green Book standards for sustainable productions and reduce our environmental impact (in 2024 we reduced electricity and gas usage by 18.2% and 27% respectively and in 2026 we produced our first Intermediate Green Book show on our Weston stage).

All this can only happen thanks to our wonderful supporters. Can you join us?
